Where Coffee Makes Community: Raquelitas Tortillas
Tortillas can make or break a breakfast burrito (literally), which is why when we choose a company for our tortillas, it’s a decision we don’t take lightly. We’re fortunate to have found Raquelitas Tortillas to provide us with delicious tortillas for our breakfast burritos and wraps. We love Raquelitas not just for their locally-made tortillas, but also because of who they are as a company.
Raquelitas Tortillas, based out of Denver, has been in business since 1960. Everything they do in their daily operations focuses on creating high-quality products, while helping those around them. Their masa is hand-crafted (this process has been featured on the Food Network), all ingredients used in their products are non-GMO and organic, and ingredients are locally sourced (it’s estimated this positively impacts over 750 Colorado families). To top it all off, Raquelitas sources 100% of their power from wind generated electricity and over 4000lbs of frying oil is turned into bio-diesel fuel.
From start to finish, Raquelitas Tortillas will never compromise quality for quantity. Raquelitas Tortillas is everything great about Colorado, which is why they’re our favorite tortilla around.
