Where Coffee Makes Community: Good Grin Farm
At Mugs, it’s well-known that we’re passionate about creating community through coffee. We love our community and want help preserve everything that embodies it. One step we take to supporting our community (other than providing everyone with superb coffee) is sourcing everything as local as we can.
While we partner with many vendors to offer a diverse menu, this month we’d like to highlight Good Grin Farm, a homestead farm. Located off Mulberry and Overland, Mugs gets zucchini and rhubarb from them to use in our baked goods (strawberry rhubarb bread, zucchini bread, and chocolate zucchini muffins). We have partnered with Good Grin Farm because they share the same values that we do: creating good, quality food with sustainable practices while helping the local community.
Good Grins Farm offers much more than just the zucchini and rhubarb; they’ve got fresh eggs and grow garlic, spinach, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, apples, carrots, and much more depending on the time of the year! We invite you to stop by their farm stand, which is usually open Saturdays from 9am-1pm (depending on the harvest) and see for yourself why we love partnering with them.
